Streamlines exploding off a Le Mans hypercar, colored by velocity

what this is

Every night a laptop puts something in a virtual wind tunnel. A race car, a rubber duck, a sneaker.

By morning there's a minute of airflow: pressure painted on the surface, streamlines peeling off every edge. We post it with a house track and go to sleep again. It's the engineering software look, minus the meeting.

how it's made

01

Model

Openly licensed 3D models (CC0, CC BY). Authors are credited in every caption.

02

Simulate

OpenFOAM, a few hundred thousand cells, steady and transient runs. No footage from anyone else.

03

Render

Surface pressure, velocity-colored streamlines, low camera angles, hard cuts.
